I am an international teacher (IB, elementary, middle and high) and I have taken several groups to ISLA Salamanca. By far, it is the best language school I have ever seen. Everybody (booking, teachers, administrators) has always provided a second to none experience for my international students. I would recommend this institution as the number 1 place in my country.

Having absolutely no Spanish before I went to ISLA, I left 3 months later being able to communicate in a brand new language. All the teachers were uniquely incredible, all the staff were fun and energetic and interested in helping students and Amanda and Dieter the directors were so supportive. I completely recommend even the shortest time possible at ISLA, you won’t regret it!

I love ISLA so much. I spent 3 months with them and would not trade it for any other experience! Amanda and the rest of the staff are the best. This was the best summer of my life!

I spent 10 weeks learning Spanish more or less from scratch here and had a really good experience. The school is well-run and the teachers very experienced. The extra-curricular activities are really well organised, enjoyable and informative and you get the opportunity to meet really interesting people. If you're looking for a language school in Salamanca - this is the place.

After much research of cities and language schools in Spain, I decided to attend ISLA for a 36 week intensive course and I could not be any more happy with my decision. I started with NO Spanish at all, which made it difficult at times since most students there had taken some Spanish and had a little background. The teachers are amazing and truly are there to help you and you can tell they enjoy what they do. The directors, Amanda and Dieter, really do care about each student and their well being and try to accommodate everyone to the best of their abilities. I finished my program with what I feel was a high level in listening comprehension and a good solid level of speaking (I had no problem getting around Spain, going to the doctor, taking care of our visa process....). The teachers even were helpful with what to study and do after I leave the program and right now I am doing exactly what they suggested. It 's a cliche to say but ISLA is a family and when you come they invite you in with open arms.

I loved my time studying at Isla Salamanca. Amanda and co. were so warm and welcoming! I loved all the activities, nights out and parties they organized. The teachers were great and the classes were fun and engaging. I was able to practice my Spanish in class in the morning and then got to go straight out and use it in the afternoon! I can't recommend the experience highly enough :)

Excellent school .. very warm welcome when you go and lovely friendly host families. They plan loads of fun activities to do out of class and the classes are dynamic and fun with excellent, experienced and friendly teachers. Salamanca is the perfect city to learn Spanish, especially for young people. Highly recommend ISLA for all your Spanish needs!

Great school! Competent and nice teachers, the staff always very friendly and ready to help. The first time there in 1995 I have been returning to ISLA ever since and I have always come back home richer. Not only speaking better Spanish but also taking home great experiences of Salamanca, its people and culture.
